Try: Dragon’s Breath blue cheese

Runs: all year

Days: Saturday mornings


2. Marché du Vieux-Port de Québec

Try: Gourganes (beans used in the Charlevoix region’s famous soup)

Runs: Daily (May to Christmas and Thursdays through Sundays the rest of the year)


3. Trout Lake Farmers Market, British Columbia

Try: Sweet Lapin cherries from Hoodoo Ranch in Spences Bridge, B.C.

Runs: May to October

Open: Saturdays


4. Saskatoon Farmers’ Market, Saskatchewan

Try: basket of sour cherries from Prairie Sun Orchard

Runs: Year round (Sat: 8:00am-2:00pm, Wed: 10:00am-3:00pm, Sun: 10:00am-3:00pm)
