Synthetic shampoos were introduced in the 1930’s and quickly became the norm. Sure they may make your hair feel clean but are they really doing a good job and are they safe?
Well, the answer is no. Most shampoos and conditioners are full of toxic chemicals that leach into our water systems and strip our hair of their natural healthy oils.
So, are you tired of putting ooey gooey toxic sludge in your hair? If you answered yes then the “No Poo” method might be right for you.
How does it work you ask? Well, “No Poo” is about going back to your roots, literally, and using products that are safe for the environment and your hair!
Here’s how it works…
The purest form of “No Poo” is to use only water to wash your hair but the widely practiced method is to shampoo hair with dissolved baking soda and water (approximately 1:8 baking soda to water) and to condition hair with diluted apple cider vinegar (approximately 1:4 apple cider vinegar to water).
However, you can also use organic shampoo bars that lather up nicely, have 100% natural ingredients and smell nice to boot.
