What Is The Toronto Cyclists Union?
What is the Toronto Cyclists Union?
The bike union provides a strong, unified voice for Toronto cyclists, and operates as a membership-based organization. You can join them to help strengthen the collective voice. Their work is almost entirely funded through membership contributions.
They work together with citizens, community groups, bike shops and the City towards the common goals of ensuring that cycling is a legitimate, accessible, and safe means of transportation. See the bike union’s unique Newcomer Cycling Outreach program, in partnership with CultureLink Settlement Services, as an example of one of the innovative ways they are growing Toronto’s cycling culture.
Their website has loads of resources to make biking around the city easy and carefree. Check out their free handbook (available in dozens of languages), find maps and plan routes, and find out how to answer any questions or concerns you have about biking in Toronto.
